Why Go?

The question should be: why not go? Enjoy a wonderful crystal clear waterfall that is 70 meters high in a tropical rainy climate.

It offers vast scenic beauty surrounded by abundant vegetation, and a great variety of flora and fauna. The waterfall is produced by the waters of the Fortuna River and by tributaries located in the mountains of the area.

To appreciate this natural beauty of the district of La Fortuna in San Carlos, you can go on a horseback riding tour where along the way you can appreciate pastures, forest and high hills, in addition to extraordinary views of the San Carlos Valley. After that, you will walk on marked trails near the waterfall to see volcanic rocks.

At the end of about 20 minutes you can see the entire waterfall and the pool where visitors can swim, take pictures, and relax in the beautiful natural environment.

It is valuable to note that proceeds from visits to the waterfall are used by the Development Association for social projects and activities in the region.
